Villas to Visit: South of France

The South of France is beautiful for many reasons but the sparkling water of the Mediterranean is the main reason! Rich people across the years picked up on the beauty of the Mediterranean and did what anyone would do if they could, built their dream homes on it. Although I'm sad because I don't have a dream home on the Mediterranean I can still go visit the incredible villas that others built!

Villa Kerylos

The Villa Kerylos is designed in the Ancient Greek style and is ornate in every detail. The details of each room is impeccable and worth visiting. The immense house even has a traditional greek bathing room at the entrance and many baths throughout the house.

The multiple study rooms with huge windows and perfect symmetry are extremely relaxing to see.

As well as the peaceful outdoor garden where it is possible to not only hear the waves crashing but you can also feel the cool breeze rising off the water.

Villa Kerylos is absolutely worth the visit, even just to see how rich people can spend their money!

Villa Rothschild

If you don't immediately recognize the name Rothschild then you are probably like me. I had no idea that the Rothschild family name is one of the ones associated with old money in Europe. That being said the Villa Rothschild, built by one of the daughters of this vast fortune, is astonishing to say the least.

Villa Rothschild is always worth the visit for the Tea Room alone (see the delicious pastry on the left)!

On top of that there are also nine different gardens around the Villa. Oh and did I mention an enormous water fountain that splashes water to music?

Do yourself a favor and make your way to this amazing Villa!

Located in St. Jean-Cap-Ferrat this Villa is just one train or bus stop away!

Be ready to be awed by the incredible collection of art work, decor, and clothing from history.

Where's your favorite Villa?
