Where to Eat in Nice, FR

Updated: Feb 21, 2018

The South of France is known for its rich gastronomic culture. This is my list of the restaurants you need to visit if you find yourself on the Côte d'Azur!

Bon appetit!

La Rossettiserie $$

By far my favorite meal was in the Vieux Nice (Old Town) at La Rossettiserie 8 Rue Mascoïnat, 06300 Nice. The charm of the restaurant is reflected in the simple decor and enthusiastic servers. I got the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and was impressed. The chicken was so flavorful and moist and the mashed potatoes were divine! The gravy was incredible and so was the complementary table bread.

I definitely recommend swinging by La Rossettiserie if you are looking for a delicious simple meal.

Made in Sud Pizzeria $

Hands down the best pizza I have ever eaten!

The Made in Sud Pizzeria 17 Boulevard Stalingrad, 06300 Nice is located right next to the Port of Nice and is not a far walk from the Old Town. This pizzeria is a whole in the wall that will not dissapoint. It can be difficult to get this delicious pizza because the hours are constantly changing, so be sure to check their Facebook page before heading over.

If you do make the trip to Made in Sud Pizzeria you will not regret it. I got the Diavola, which came with spicy pepperoni. It was delicious. The wooden oven's smokey flavor combined with the perfect tomato sauce speaks for the awards that the pizzeria has won. Definitely be sure to stop by if you call yourself a pizza lover (like myself)!

Le Plongeoir $$

If you are looking for an amazing meal on a rock that sits on the Mediterranean look no further than Le Plongeoir 60 boulevard Franck Pilatte 06300 Nice. This restaurant combines the beauty of the mediterranean with a minimalist forward layout. Definitely bring your best camera and outfits to this dinner because there are many spots to take pictures with incredible views.

At Le Plongeoir I got the seafood rissotto and loved it. The "fruits de mer" complimented the creamy rissotto perfectly. The service was also exceptional! I highly recommend hitting Le Plongeoir around sunset for the best views but make sure you get a reservation online because it is a popular spot!
